P.S. Kiss and Lizzy Borden both suck. Maybe a lot of people started to feel that way and so the graphics designers, in a desperate attempt to be more controversial and attention-catching, decided to go with some "kewwwwwl" looking thing to appeal to the 13-year old minds that would listen to that sh!t to begin with!

LOL! Lizzy Borden!? Definitely a major force in music!

And, I highly doubt that Mick Jagger was behind all the graphic design ideas that came across as "Satanic"

He had/has direct connections within satanism. He composed the music for self-professed satanist and Church of Satan member Kenneth Anger's "Invocation of My Demon Brother," which was a short 11 minute film from 1969. He may also have been involved with Anger's "Lucifer Rising" project as well. He openly wore anti-christian t-shirts like an upside down crucifix on stage. And then there's the openly satanic lyrics of "Sympathy for the Devil." He's just one example in the rock world. It seemed at one point, just about everyone who were super-famous in the rock industry was fascinated with Aleister Crowley and all things rebellious.

If that's true, about graphic designers trying to be more controversial and attention-catching, then why weren't those albums more highly succesful? "The Elder" was supposed to be a soundtrack to the movie "The Elder." Allegedly, it was never filmed. This proves to me that just making something dark and "appealing" to 13 year-olds doesn't guarantee it will sell. This goes back to your thread on music as propaganda. Occultists, whether musicians or graphic designers, promote their religion a lot in the artwork and lyrics. Speaking of 13 year olds....they end up being influenced quite a bit by this music, artwork and the "artists" personal "message." Since Madonna and Britney Spears practice the occult art of the Kabbalah, I can guarantee that that has made a lot of young girls look into it that never would have even heard about it if it wasn't for them.

When you said Rolling Stones and Jagger, I thought you would surely refer to "Goat's Head Soup" LOL! See? It was YOU that opened these "doors to Hell" regarding the other references, E.T. Therefore, how do I know YOU'RE not an Luciferian or a Satanologist or a Devilarian? When ANYONE starts looking for pyramids and triangle sand goat's heads and pentagrams and upside down crucifixes and witches hats and all those kinds of things, they start to find them everywhere! -just like the screen door that supposedly displayed the image of holy Mary that was in Mexico somewhere....Or the potato chip that had the face of Jesus on it that sold on EBay. I mean, the human mind is capable of highly imaginative interpretations of shapes and angles and attach meanings that go into the abstract and pretty soon, an album cover is "of the Devil"? What's next? The Devil's car? The Devil's shoes?

So, I guess what you're telling me is that there's no such things as satanists or witches or occult symbols or pagan temples or secret societies etc. Well, if you want to deny the reality of it, that's up to you. I think those who are involved in it will be very surprised to know that they don't exist. If you're right, maybe there's no such things as Christians or churches either.

From Nova's anti-creationist show......

NARRATOR: They called it Tiktaalik, which means "large, fresh water fish," in the language of the local Inuit people. And it's one of the most vivid transitional fossils ever discovered, showing how land animals evolved from primitive fish.

NEIL SHUBIN: Over here you have a fish of about 380-million years old. And, just like any good fish, it has scales on its back and fins. You compare that to an amphibian, and you find a creature that doesn't have scales, and it's modified the fins to become limbs, arms and legs. And the head's very different. It has a flat head with eyes on top and a neck.

What we see when we look at the fossil record, at rocks of just the right age, is a creature like Tiktaalik. Just like a fish, it has scales on its back, and fins. You can see the fin webbing here. Yet when we look at the head, you see something very different. You see a very amphibian-like thing, with a flat head, with eyes on top. It gets even better when we take the fin apart. When we look inside the fin, as in this cast here, what you'll see is bones that compare to our shoulder, elbow, even parts of the wrist—bone for bone. So you have a fish, at just the right time in the history of life, that has characteristics of amphibians and primitive fish. It's a mix.

Here's a link refuting Tiktaalik's so-called scientific evidence of evolution...

Feck, Krispy, I thought that part of the discussion ended and then you guys started slinging "Go read this/Go see this" retorts and so I thought I'd go off on some silly tangents, myself -as I have always done in the past. Forgive me. I have sinned

On-topic: Expelled basically sucked, in my opinion and Ben Stein self-imposed low-affect, deadpan character was over with after the Ferris Bueller appearance. He's a character that some people laugh at in the same way that some people still laugh at Cheech and Chong movies (myself -yes). In fact, I have already forgotten much about that movie.

It seems that, in the shadow of Michael Moore type movies, a new wave of "I'll expose you for what you really are" movies have become a new fad. Ther ehad to be an "answer" for it, didn't there? But, as always, movies that make you think will get steamrollered by the digital explosion/fantasy movies. Pretty soon, movies with all that dumb talkin' in 'em will go away, altogether. So, for that reason, at least Stein's movie creates a few discussions on long-forgotten messageboards, if nothing else! I mean, by comparison, what do you suppose people discuss when they see a movie like "Cloverfield"? "I liked it when the monster went "KWOOOOSSH!" and the thing went "BAAAAMMMM! SKWOOOOOSH!!" ??lol!

And, just for the record, E.T., Yes, I think there are all kinds of "clubs" out there in the world (whatever name you want to give them) for all the reasons I already stated many times -basically, people are fearful herd animals and look for leadership to take them somewhere. That's what religion is. We'll all agree together....okay? No? Then we'll have to go to war with each other, I guess. That seems to be the way things go.

Thou art forgiven my child. Go in peace.

Actually, I think most of you out there are all Satanists and Christians at the same time. Since it all came from the same place and since it's all been mixed together for so long, I doubt it makes any difference whether ET's nit-picking subtleties amount to any kind of distinction between the two. A Gnostic might even suggest flipping ET's judgments 180 degrees to get to the real truth.

Here's the time line (in case you missed it 10,000+ years ago):

Primitive man worships the Sun, giver of all life > civilized man athropomorphizes Sun-god and gives us Horus/Tonatiuh/Helios/Titan > subsequent civilizations continue to refine Sun worship until it is no longer recognizable as such while giving us various planetary based "Sky-gods" and their (also planetary based) rivals YHWH, Baal, Lucifer, Jupiter, Indra, Tyr, Tianfu > further hybridization distills into monotheistic deities that preserve all of the facets of previous Sun-/Sky-gods. The Bible is little help since YHWH's rival/opponent is just as often the Sky-god of an another tribe (ie Baal) who courts the Israelites affections as it is Lucifer (which in latin means "day star" or "morning star" leading me to believe Lucifer is a Sun- or Sky-god in disguise). To make matters worse, there is evidence that Baal and YHWH were parallel (or even synonymous) deities rather than rivals. Canaanite mythology tells a story of an unsuccessful attempt by Athtar ("Morning Star") to take over the throne of Baal (aka Hadad son of El, the Supreme Deity of the Canaanites).

Unless you had several years to develop to the study of comparative theology, mythology, and cosmology I doubt you could ever get to the bottom of this mystery in a casual thread on a public message board. I can ignore ET's slanders of occultism and witchcraft but that's because it doesn't affect me. Some Rolling Stones fan strolls in here, however, and there might be a fight!
