| 2 weeks ago I received a new Takamine G Series EG340SC Acoustic Electric Guitar. I have been having a difficult time with it. First, the tuner did not work so I asked KMC to send me another. Now, when I loosened the 'G' string, #3, it just broke on me. All I did was loosen it, I swear. In order to install a new TP4T tuner/preamp, you must plug 2 connectors in from the inside of the guitar. This requires that you loosen all the strings.
NO documentation came with the EG340SC, nothing. All I got was a registration card and a little tag which says D'Addario EXP, Extended Play Strings, came installed with the guitar (which is funny because I never actually got to PLAY the strings at all).
Posting questions on a forum is always a last resort for me because it takes so long. I did several searches but I could find NOTHING about which D'Addario EXP strings originally come with the Takamine EG340SC and I counted 15 different kinds.
6 Here:
Fretted Strings > Acoustic Strings > EXP Coated 80/20 Bronze Wound
...and 9 Here:
Fretted Strings > Acoustic Strings > EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Wound
Could someone please tell me WHICH D'Addario EXP strings come originally with the Takamine EG340SC? All I need is the model number, EXP??. That is, the letter "EXP" followed by 2 numbers. If I were to venture a wild guess, it would be "EXP12". However, I have no way of knowing for sure.
Thanks in advance.
P.S.: And will someone please tell Takamine to include full documentation with their guitars???!!! |
