Switched my stock DW super Solid head to an Ambassador X and then a Genera coated and like it much better. More crack, more volume and less overtones. Also put Onyx on at church and can't wait to hear how they sound with the band

Yeah, but how about that stick response? Also, I think you'll find that your drums "talk" a little more with Evans single-ply heads on them.

The Evans single ply heads are far more responsive and brighter than Remo imo. I'm staying with Evans.

Sonor SQ 2 Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and Evans drumheads. Korg Wavedrum.
